Fans done safely
A ceiling fan is heavier than a light fixture and it moves, so it needs a fan-rated box that’s solidly supported. A fan hung from a regular light box can wobble, loosen over time, and eventually come down. When we install a fan, we make sure the box and support are right before the fan goes up.
What we install
- Replacements: take down an old, wobbly or noisy fan and put up a new one
- Light to fan swaps: replace a light fixture with a fan, with the right box and support
- New locations: run wiring and add a switch where there’s no fixture yet
- Porches and patios: wet-rated outdoor fans built for Louisiana weather, like the patio fans in the photos below
- High and vaulted ceilings: fans mounted on sloped ceilings with the right downrod
- Controls: separate switches for the fan and light, or remote and wall controls
Bring your own fan
Already picked out a fan? Great, we’ll install it. If you haven’t, we’re happy to tell you what size and type works for the room or porch.
One fan or several
No job too small. A single fan is a normal service call for us, and if you have a few rooms or a whole porch to do, we can knock them out in one visit.
Free estimate
Text a photo of the ceiling where you want the fan to (318) 422-9588, or call. We install fans in Shreveport, Bossier City, Haughton, Coushatta, Minden and nearby towns. Lighting too: see all our services.
