Finding the real problem
Electrical problems don’t always show up where they start. A dead outlet in the bedroom might be caused by a loose connection two outlets away. A breaker that trips might be an overloaded circuit, a failing appliance, or a damaged wire. We test with a meter and trace the circuit until we find the cause, then fix that, not just the symptom.
Problems we track down
- Outlets or switches that stopped working
- Part of the house, or a whole room, with no power
- Breakers that trip over and over, or won’t reset
- Flickering or dimming lights
- Outlets or switch plates that feel warm, buzz, or smell like burning
- Switches wired wrong, or lights controlled by the wrong switch
- Damaged underground wiring and yard boxes (see the repair photos below)
When to call right away
If you smell burning, see scorch marks, or an outlet or panel feels hot, turn off that breaker and call us. Don’t keep resetting a breaker that trips right back off.
We explain what we find
We walk you through what was wrong and what we did, so you understand your home’s electrical system. One customer put it this way in their Google review (below). If the problem points to something bigger, like an aging panel, we’ll tell you honestly. See panel upgrades.
